Hole 1
Hole 2
Hole Description
A gentle opening par 5 which the bigger hitters can try to reach in two, but beware the greenside bunkers left and right, and whatever you do, do not go long as a tricky shot from a deep bunker or a lost ball will await you. If you can stay out of the trees left and right this is a good opportunity to get off to a solid start or even perhaps bag yourself an early birdie.

Hole 3
Hole Description
Despite measuring only 159 yards this is a very demanding Par 3. Only an accurate iron shot will suffice as missing the green on any side will require an extremely difficult recovery shot. For those who underclub or mishit the cavernous bunker in front of the green could give you nightmares!

Hole 4
Hole Description
At 458 yards this is possibly the toughest hole on the course. A gentle draw shape is required from the tee to combat the sloping fairway running to the right rough and trees. Even for the longer hitters this will leave a long approach to a green which again slopes heavily from left to right.

Hole 5
Hole Description
A very good Par 4 which favours the players that can move the ball right to left. The approach shot is played to a well bunkered green which slopes to the left. This is complicated by the fact that this shot will be played with the ball above the player's feet. Par is always a good score.

Hole Description
A great Par 5 which will test player's of all abilities. The gentle dogleg from left to right and narrow fairway make accuracy the key requirement. Combine this with the out of bounds stretching the length of the hole and it's easy to see why the 5th is one of the most demanding holes on the course.

Hole 7
Hole Description
Despite being only 355 yards this hole presents many dangers. Firstly, it plays much longer than the yardage would suggest with it being uphill all the way culminating in an elevated green. It is also very narrow especially the approach to the green with trouble on both sides. However it is the tree on the corner of the dogleg which causes most concern. An accurate long tee shot is required to allow a clear approach to the green.

Hole Description
A cracking long Par 3 across a valley to a 2 tier green which requires a high tee shot. Anything short in the valley will provide a blind recovery and anything long will leave a devilish chip back down the hill.

This hole has a very narrow approach into the green for such a long Par 3. It is surrounded by two sleepered faced bunkers which will catch any tee shot slightly off line. A must-hit green.

Hole 13
Hole Description
The drive needs to be kept down the left side of the fairway to allow the best approach to the green. The approach is played over the brow of a hill and is therefore difficult to judge. The green is also one of the most tricky to putt as it slopes heavily from right to left and back to front.

This is not a long par 4 but is fraught with danger. Out of bounds is nearby on the left running the length of the hole and plenty of trouble on the right. The green can be real "three putt territory" because of the slope from right to left.

Hole Description
A drive to the right side of the fairway will leave the best approach to this green. Getting the right club is critical for the approach shot as the green has a big slope from back to front. If the approach finishes to the side or beyond the flag, a fast sloping putt will need to be negotiated.

Playing downhill this Par 5 that plays shorter than its yardage would suggest. However it is a narrow entrance to the green making it very easy to find one of the four greenside bunkers. If you stay out of the bunkers you will have a good chance for a birdie 4.

Hole Description
Despite being short in yardage at 302 yards this is a hole to be respected. A very straight tee shot is needed before facing an approach shot to an elevated green. Extra club is always required to avoid falling short which always leaves a very tricky chip or pitch shot from an upslope.

Hole 18
Hole Description
This is a hole to test a player's nerve when compiling a good score. It is a long hole at 468 yards and has a sharp dogleg to the left around a copse of trees. The tee shot is one of the tightest on the course and bravery is required to aim it over the trees and cut the corner. The reward is a shorter 2nd shot to what is one of the biggest greens at Eaton. This would have to rate as one of the most difficult finishing holes in Norfolk.
